HOW TO JOIN BALLINASCREEN CREDIT UNION

Eligibility

Membership of Ballinascreen Credit Union is open to anyone who lives or works within a six-mile radius of the centre of Ballinascreen parish. To see a list of townlands which fall within our common bond, click here.

Opening an adult account

To open an adult account, simply call into the credit union office and bring the following documents;

Photographic Identification

  • Current valid passport
  • Valid driving license
  • Electoral identity card
  • National identity card

Home address verification

  • Government issued documentation such as from, Land and Property Services, HMRC or Social Security Agency
  • Current statement from a regulated financial institution e.g. bank or insurance provider
  • Current utility bill

If you work in the common bond, but do not live in the common bond;

Proof of employment

  • Pay slip clearly showing your employer
  • P.60 tax statement

Letter from your employer on headed paper confirming that you are employed by them and on what basis (full-time, part-time, sub-contractor, etc)

Opening a junior account

To open a junior account, simply call into the credit union office and bring the following documents;

Birth certificate / Passport for the child

Proof of address for parent / guardian

  • Government issued documentation such as from, Land and Property Services, HMRC or Social Security Agency
  • Current statement from a regulated financial institution e.g. bank or insurance provider
  • Current utility bill

All junior accounts must be opened by a parent / guardian and if the child is aged 7 or over, they are also required to sign the application form.
